Pernille Snedker has repurposed an old marbling technique giving Nordic wood a supernatural and colorful pattern. Created slowly drop by drop on a water surface, the pattern reflects and magnifies the natural ornamentation in the wood itself.
For her solo exhibition, Pernille aims to challenge how we look at and experience the wooden surfaces around us.
It will be playful, colorful and a feast for the eye.

A culmination of years of experimentation and development, Pernille has re-purposed the traditional craft of marbling. She works directly with its fluid nature to enhance material and create form. Created one drop at the time and resembling a tree growth rings, Pernilles technique responds to naturally occurring patterns.
