Arts & Crafts Association Bornholm.

Bornholm is, with good reason, famous for its many skilled artisans. They help to paint the picture of an area where quality and aesthetics are paramount and where artists can be inspired and work freely while maintaining a strong mutual unity. Since 2002, the most talented professional artisans have come together in ACAB, Arts & Crafts Association Bornholm. ACAB is a censored association where each individual craftsman is approved by an external assessment committee before admission.

The exhibition runs from April 9th h to October 21th 2022 Tuesday to Sunday from 11-17, admission DKK 70.

In 2002, three local craft artists took the initiative to found an association of Bornholm craft artists, with admission based on a selection process. And thus the “Arts & Crafts Association Bornholm – ACAB” came into being. Membership is contingent on being judged by an external selection committee which uses technical and artistic criteria to assess whether an applicant is qualified for admission to the association. Twenty-eight craft artists were screened and admitted the first year. Today, the ACAB encompass  75 members dispersed over the craft areas of pottery, glass, textiles, metal and wood.
