Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademis Designskole
1. års projektet fra afdelingen for keramik på Designskolen
Kunstakademiets Designskole, Bornholm.
The 'Craft: Glass and Ceramics programme' on Bornholm is rooted in the Danish design tradition, in which material-based ways of thinking and experimenting is an essential part of the artistic basis for the design of artefacts in glass and ceramics.
The students work on a broad spectrum; from small batch production and working together with companies to conceptually unique works based on the students’ artistic skills.
The focal point of the study are the well-equipped, high-quality, ceramics and hot glass workshops. These workshops provide a unique framework for the students’ development of basic skills and artistic expression as well as a deep understanding of the materials. The programme highlights the experimental aspect, provides space for ingenuity, and inspires the students in exploring and generating new ideas across the materials.
